Dracorp is using BaseX in a product for the US Air Force that could best be described as an Eclipse for data analysis. It is a general tool that can work with any data source and allows addins to be written that can query, visualize, analyze, and modify the underlying data. BaseX serves as our data backend and is what allows efficient storage and retrieval of the sometimes very large files involved. The cool part is that our tool is written in .NET and designed to run on Linux through Mono, so we cross-compile BaseX to .NET using IKVM (after performing a few tweaks to the code in Java) and apply a wrapper around the cross-compiled BaseX assembly to make it more friendly to .NET developers.
